Hello! Today I’m sharing some experiments in character designing I’ve been working on for the past few days. To start off with, I want to show a bit of my process, from the pencil sketch to the cleaned version.
I’m really enjoying experimenting with more geometric kinds of characters. This style is something of a hybrid between Panty & Stocking, Deedee from Dexter’s Laboratory and the style of Hajime Ueda, the manga artist of FLCL. I did some more sketches to test this style out too. i have plans to clean up the sketches, but here are what some of them look like now

I’ll try and post some more sketches in this style soon . I’m really looking forward to experimenting with the coloring for these!
